Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, delivered the keynote address to Apple’s San Francisco event after returning from a health-related sabbatical which included a liver transplant. This was his first appearance at an Apple event since October of last year.

Jobs was received back with a lengthy standing ovation. He thanked everyone for their support during his sabbatical and asked them to consider becoming an organ donor. Although looking gaunt, Jobs was said to be doing well.

Jobs introduced several new products including iTunes 9 and upgraded iPods. He said the new iTunes store features easier navigation with a cleaner layout and bigger image display. iTunes 9 will have a new look and new features including “LP mode” in which users can download song lyrics, art and band and song information. Apple also unveiled iPhone OS 3.1 which will allow users to download ringtones for iPhones for $1.29 each. 30,000 of these premade ringtones will be made available. Apple also unveiled a new iPod lineup including new Nanos with video cameras.
